Page Academy

a private elementary school Southern California

Founded in 1908, Page Academy consistently ranks among the state of California’s best private schools, offering a robust academic program with small class sizes, a joyful and diverse community, and a commitment to strong character values in a family-like environment.

Learning at Page Academy is an adventure. Our dynamic curriculum encourages children at each stage of their educational, emotional, and social development to discover their own innate talents and interests. Nothing a student does here is considered extracurricular: lessons learned in the STEM lab or English classroom are as vital as lessons learned on the playing field, in the art studio, or in the library.

Above all, we offer a nurturing learning environment that develops life-long learners who are engaged, knowledgeable, self-reflective, and self-directed. Schedule a private tour of our campus to experience the difference for yourself.

In Elementary School, we strive to know each child well and focus on helping them reach their potential. Whether in small groups throughout the day for reading and math instruction or working alongside their peers on STEM or humanities projects, our children are provided innovative experiences as they explore and connect the disciplines. Opportunities for project-based learning are woven throughout our curriculum as we nurture and encourage students to think deeply. In developmentally appropriate ways, we strive to provide academic challenge and establish a sense of community, friendship and trust while igniting their interest in the beauty and wonder of the world around them. Experiences in music, art and physical education support their well-being and growth. Additionally, our students have important opportunities to serve others while learning what it means to be a good citizen of the school community and beyond.

At Page Academy, we respect, celebrate, and encourage every child as a one-of-a-kind individual. That’s why our program is designed to ensure your child not only succeeds in school, college, and career, but also flourishes as a unique, resilient, and happy human being. By cultivating your child’s particular passions and talents, we give them the tools to reach higher in all their endeavors.

Our challenging, developmentally calibrated curriculum ensures mastery in fundamental subject areas, while collaborative projects and individual attention spark your child’s enthusiasm and curiosity. Discovering more about the world and their own capabilities, your child builds confidence in themselves and their classmates. They ask big questions, seek meaningful solutions, and embrace opportunities to learn and do more.

We uphold character values as a vital element of every child’s education. When character development is a natural and indispensable part of your child’s early learning, they grow as insightful leaders and effective problem solvers. Equally important, they emerge with a strong moral compass that guides them all their lives. At Page, our character values are Scholarship, Leadership, Citizenship, Athletics, Service, and Spirit.

We know how important personalized attention is to student learning. At Page, small class sizes ensure that your child receives individual, one-on-one attention in a well-managed classroom. Our spacious classrooms maintain low student-to-teacher ratios and ensure plenty of flexible space to learn and engage.

We encourage active parent engagement in student learning, because we know it makes a difference. Our teachers pride themselves on the consistent and thoughtful communication they have with the parents in their classrooms. Our teachers communicate individually with each family both face-to-face, and virtually via email or LMS.

At Page, we believe you can’t achieve excellence without diversity. We strive to create an inclusive school community that reflects the diversity of our world, while celebrating the individuality of each child. Our students see themselves as successful learners and responsible citizens, each with unique gifts to offer the world.

To best prepare our students for the 21st century, Page utilizes the latest in cutting-edge instructional technology; including interactive SMARTBoards in every classroom, a 1:1 tablet ratio for students, and opportunities to use 3D printers, design software and other tools that help develop skills for the future.
